Mission of the Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center Intern Program
The Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) holds a commitment to the education of collegiate students in the field of child maltreatment. The DCAC accomplishes this through experiential learning and one-on-one supervision with an emphasis on evidence-based interventions in providing comprehensive assessment and treatment services to children who have experienced maltreatment and their non-offending caregivers. Through this process students will gain the foundation for acquiring the competencies necessary to become self-reliant and productive professionals with baseline knowledge and skills in the field of child maltreatment.
